Summer Jackal

The last piece for the set of four 'Dogs of Seasons'. Again, this was just me wanting to draw some lovely ladies with masks and my go to for series is always elements or seasons. Not very original but these are still very much an improvement on my last season series so I'm content.

I think one of my major issues currently is my indecision for whether I want to go for a more paintery-blending style or a more solid lined style. The bottom portion of this painting is definitely more solid which I like but the background isn't, which I also like? Guess it's time for some hardcore experimenting (and anatomy lessons, haha).

Speaking of experimenting, I have some Chinese Zodiac sketches I did a while ago that I stored for when I would be ready. Unlike these last 4 paintings, these paintings would be teaching me about body diversity including shape, skin colour, facial features and ethnicity. So 12 of those paintings (obviously with some masks in there because... I love marks. I really really do.)

I'm very excited to start it but I would rather finish everything in the same place, which isn't possible for me right now since I am still looking for a permanent place to live. It really sucks not to be able to pick my life and get to it, but I'm making the most of it.
