Ashes

BORING NOTE FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE TO READ BORING NOTES: I love volanoes. And ashes. And a bunch of other pyrotectonic processes. They're so badass. MUCH more interesting than boring sedimentary rocks. And so by that standard, it's not surprise that a lot of my current 'mind' story has a lot of geology incorporated into it, AND VOLCANOES, and stuff. It has nothing to do with anything, I just thought it'd be cool to write/draw stuff related to it. Particularly a city located near a chain of volcanoes whose technology is entirely based off protecting people from pyroclastic ashe (literally fire falling from the sky and burning down EVERYTHING), including using steel umbrellas and automated roof cleaning systems. I wish I could engineer stuff like that. Maybe one day. LE SIGH.

/BORING NOTE

Yeah, somehow Ashe turned into a chick when I realized I'd have better use for her in my story. SO HERE YOU GO, BOOBS. (And volcanoes.)

The sketch for this wasn't even originally supposed to be Ashe (hence why there's exposed boobs - you guys weren't supposed to know she was a chick, EVAH) but it just fit too well with her that I couldn't not do it. Plus I wasn't in the mood to draw long hair. I'll post the sketch of this as soon as I can for comparison!

And I know this isn't my first post of the year, but it's my first paint so, HUZZAH! So far it seems like I'm starting the year well! And I already have a new character in the works to paint; a satyr I drew in my notes today, which I typically wouldn't do because it seems a bit too fantasy for me now, but it is so badass I cannot ignore it. I'm going to try to do a full or at least 3/4 body piece with this, so that's also very exciting for me!
